Mr. Tawfiq Shaker Fakhoury, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Eqbal, said that the company has already launched the excavation works for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Residence in Amman through the awarding of Arab Towers Contracting Company. The duration of the excavations will be for a period of four months.

The agreement was signed by Eng. Emad Kilani, CEO of Al Eqbal Real Estate Development Company and Eng. Hisham Wadi, General Manager of Arab Towers Contracting Company. The signing was attended by Mr. Tawfiq Shaker Fakhoury, Mr. Ziad Al-Manasir and Mr. Moeen Kadada.

Al Fakhouri stated that the project is being implemented in a timely manner according to the comprehensive plans, and it is due to open in 2020 and that the priority will be given to local companies and contractors in the Kingdom to stimulate the local investment and boost the Jordanian economy.

Eng. Hisham Wadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arab Towers Contracting Company (ATCCO), expressed his thanks and gratitude to Al-Eqbal for its confidence in choosing ATCCO to carry out the first stage of the works.

It is worth noting that the two towers will offer unmatched, scenic views of Amman, and will reflect the authenticity of Jordanian culture with a modern twist, in line with the highest international standards by hiring the most experienced and talented team of architects and designers from around the world like Dar Al-Handasah for architectural design, engineering and supervision, WATG for the concept design, Wimberley for interior design, DG Jones for project management and NEA & Partners for Cost Consultancy.

Valued at USD 235 million, the project is a wholly self-financed, Jordanian investment. The project is expected to create more than 1,200 jobs during the construction period and about 530 permanent jobs, the vast majority of which will go to Jordanian youth.
